It is great to be recognised for the work that we do in the NHS to support Apprentices, and to provide an entry point supporting our local communities into work.
Michelle Place – Widening Participation & Apprenticeships Lead at NUH
Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust were highly commended as a Large Employer of the Year at the Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire Apprenticeship Awards!

NUH’s Widening Participation and Apprenticeships Lead and People Transformation Manager attended the Apprenticeships Awards Evening on Thursday 6th October.
Out of all the large employers (employers who have over 250 staff members) that offer apprenticeships in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire NUH were highly commended as a large employer. NUH’s extensive apprenticeship programme, the number of apprentices they employ (within their 18,000+ employees) and the many training pathways offered within the trust were highly commended.
Nottingham University Hospitals have always been highly commended for their work and apprenticeship programmes and pipelines. They have been officially recognised for the work with apprenticeship programmes and helping the local population of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire achieve their career and qualification goals through apprenticeships.
