NUH wins at The National Apprenticeship Awards 2021!

It is great to be recognised for the work that we do in the NHS to support Apprentices, and to provide an entry point supporting our local communities into work.

NUH were the Regional Highly Commended winner of the Recruitment Excellence of the Year 2021 and Regional Winner of the Macro Employer of the Year 2021 (Certificates and Awards pictured below).

The National Apprenticeship Awards showcase the diverse range of sectors engaged with apprenticeships and the success stories of those who have embraced apprenticeships with zest. Nottingham University Hospitals were able to snag two awards from the 2021 Awards.

Each year there are over 1,000 entries from apprentice employers, apprentices, and apprenticeship champions from all over England. The breadth of industries and sectors recognised highlights the broad appeal of apprenticeships, and how employers and individuals are continuing to build business and career success through apprenticeships.

These awards are always a collective effort, and involve many different team members, from those supporting the administration of Apprentices onto programme, to those working alongside Apprentices and supporting their development in their roles. We do some fantastic work enabling the progression, training and development of our new and existing workforce, and we always look to the future and how we can do more. We strive to be better, whilst acknowledging the hard work done to get us to this point.

Nottingham University Hospitals were highly commended for their work, but unfortunately did not make it to the National Division. They are hoping to win more Regional awards and make it to the National Division of the Apprenticeships Awards in 2022. Well done to all involved on your tremendous effort.
